Enhanced Performance with the Colorado 7 Exhaust System

Like many contemporary 4x4 turbo diesels, the Colorado 7 is equipped with a notably restrictive factory exhaust system. Our seasoned exhaust technicians quickly identified the potential for significant performance improvements through the installation of a high-performance exhaust system.

Following meticulous experimentation, we determined that a 3" exhaust system is the optimal choice for the Colorado 7. This upgrade delivers superior power and torque, rapid turbo spooling, and a substantial reduction in exhaust gas temperatures.

Upon fitting the exhaust to the Colorado 7, we observed a 5 – 10% increase in power and torque, alongside a dramatic decrease in exhaust gas temperatures. This discovery highlighted the potential for further power enhancements through careful adjustment of the fuelling and boost, capitalising on the larger exhaust size while remaining well within the Colorado's safe operational limits.

This additional tuning is conducted via a STING remap, or re-flash of the factory ECU. This process allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, with a focus on either power or economy, depending on your preference.

We're achieving remarkable results, including up to a 40% increase in torque and a significant boost in responsiveness from just off idle. This upgrade not only enhances your vehicle's performance but also optimises its efficiency and responsiveness, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable driving experience.
