Performance Exhaust System for Modern 4x4 Turbo Diesels

The factory exhaust system of most modern 4x4 turbo diesels, including the Colorado, is often restrictive, limiting the vehicle's performance potential. Our experienced exhaust technicians quickly identified the opportunity for significant performance gains by installing a performance exhaust system.

After meticulous testing and evaluation, we determined that a 3” exhaust is the optimal choice for the Colorado. This upgrade provides an ideal balance of power and torque, rapid turbo spooling, and a substantial reduction in exhaust gas temperatures.

Upon installation of the new exhaust system, we observed a power and torque increase of approximately 5-10%. Additionally, the exhaust gas temperatures decreased significantly, enhancing the vehicle's overall performance and longevity.

Unlocking Further Power with STING Remap

With the enhanced exhaust system in place, we identified the potential for further power augmentation by adjusting the fueling and boost. This is achieved while maintaining the Colorado's safety limits, thanks to the increased exhaust size.

This additional tuning is performed using a STING remap, or a re-flash of the factory ECU. This process allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, focusing on either power or economy, depending on the driver's preference.

Through this comprehensive performance upgrade, we're achieving remarkable results. These include up to a 40% increase in torque and a significant boost in responsiveness from just off idle.
