Performance Exhaust System for the Modern 4x4 Turbo Diesel Colorado

Like many contemporary 4x4 turbo diesels, the Colorado is equipped with a restrictive factory exhaust system. Our skilled exhaust technicians quickly identified the potential for performance enhancements through the installation of a superior exhaust system.

After meticulous testing and analysis, we determined that a 3” exhaust system is the optimal choice for the Colorado. This upgrade provides a significant boost in power and torque, accelerates turbo spooling, and substantially reduces exhaust gas temperatures.

Upon fitting the Colorado with this performance exhaust system, we observed a 5 – 10% increase in power and torque, accompanied by a dramatic decrease in exhaust gas temperatures. This not only improves the vehicle's performance but also enhances its longevity by reducing thermal stress on the engine components.

Unlocking Further Performance Potential with STING Remap

With the larger exhaust system in place, we saw an opportunity for additional power enhancements by adjusting the fuelling and boost parameters. This is achieved while maintaining the Colorado's safety limits, thus ensuring the vehicle's reliability isn't compromised.

The further tuning is performed via a STING remap, or a re-flash of the factory ECU. This advanced technique allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, focusing on either power or economy based on the driver's preference.

Through this comprehensive performance upgrade, we've achieved remarkable results, including up to 40% more torque and a significant increase in responsiveness from just off idle.
