Enhanced Performance with the Colorado 3" Exhaust System

Like many contemporary 4x4 turbo diesels, the Colorado is equipped with a rather restrictive factory exhaust system. Our skilled exhaust technicians quickly identified the potential for significant improvements by installing a performance exhaust system.

Following meticulous testing, we determined that a 3” exhaust system is the optimal choice for the Colorado. This upgrade delivers superior power and torque, quicker turbo spooling, and a substantial reduction in exhaust gas temperatures.

After installing the exhaust system on the Colorado, we observed a power and torque increase of approximately 5 – 10%, along with a significant decrease in exhaust gas temperatures. This demonstrated the vehicle's potential for further power enhancements through careful adjustments to the fuelling and boost, capitalising on the larger exhaust size while remaining well within the Colorado's safe limits.

These additional tuning adjustments are performed using a STING remap, or a re-flash of the factory ECU. This allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, with a focus on either power or economy, depending on your preference.

We're achieving remarkable results, including up to a 40% increase in torque, coupled with a substantial boost in responsiveness from just off idle. These enhancements not only improve the vehicle's performance but also optimise its overall driving experience.
