Performance Exhaust System for Modern 4x4 Turbo Diesels

Like many contemporary 4x4 turbo diesels, the Colorado comes with a notably restrictive factory exhaust system. Our seasoned exhaust technicians quickly identified the potential for performance enhancement through the installation of a performance exhaust system.

After meticulous testing, we determined that a 3Ó exhaust system is the optimal choice for the Colorado. This size offers the most significant benefits, including improved power and torque, faster turbo spool, and a considerable reduction in exhaust gas temperatures.

Upon installing the exhaust system on the Colorado, we observed a power and torque increase of approximately 5 Ð 10%. Additionally, there was a substantial decrease in exhaust gas temperatures, further enhancing the vehicle's performance.

Unlocking Increased Power with STING Remap

With the larger exhaust system in place, we saw the opportunity for further power enhancement by adjusting the fuelling and boost. This adjustment takes full advantage of the increased exhaust size while staying safely within the Colorado's operational limits.

This additional tuning is performed using a STING remap, or a re-flash of the factory ECU. This process allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, with a focus on either power or economy, depending on the driver's preference.

Through this comprehensive tuning process, we've achieved remarkable results, including up to a 40% increase in torque. This enhancement, coupled with a significant increase in responsiveness from just off idle, dramatically improves the overall driving experience.
