Enhancing Performance with the Trailblazer 3" Exhaust System

Like many contemporary 4x4 turbo diesels, the Trailblazer's factory exhaust system is notably restrictive. It didn't take long for our seasoned exhaust technicians to identify the potential for performance enhancement via a superior exhaust system. After meticulous testing, we concluded that a 3" exhaust system is the optimal choice for the Trailblazer, delivering the finest balance of power and torque, the quickest turbo spool, and the most significant reduction in exhaust gas temperatures.

Upon fitting the Trailblazer with the new exhaust system, we observed a power and torque increase of approximately 5 Ð 10%, alongside a substantial decrease in exhaust gas temperatures. This opened up the opportunity for further power augmentation by adjusting the fuelling and boost, capitalising on the enlarged exhaust size, yet staying comfortably within the safe limits of the vehicle.

This additional tuning is executed via a STING remap, or re-flash of the factory ECU. This allows us to fine-tune a wide range of parameters, with a focus on either power or economy, depending on the driver's preference. The results we're achieving are truly impressive, with up to 40% more torque and a significant increase in responsiveness from just off idle.
