Manta 3" Exhaust System for 3.0L GU Patrol

The 3.0L GU Patrol is often enhanced with the addition of a Manta 3" exhaust system. The ZD30 3.0L turbo diesel engine, which was introduced to the Patrol in 2000 as a replacement for the older 2.8L 6-cylinder engine, was later upgraded in 2008 with a common rail fuel injection system. While the power figures of 118kw and 380nm seem impressive on paper, the actual power delivery is rather "peaky", requiring high revs before the power and torque become fully accessible.

The primary reason for this suboptimal power delivery, and a contributing factor to the high exhaust gas temperatures often observed in these vehicles, is the restrictive factory exhaust system. This system chokes the turbo, preventing the engine from operating at its peak efficiency and causing heat build-up.
