Introducing the Manta Exhaust System for the Y62 Nissan Patrol

The latest model of the Y62 Nissan Patrol is equipped exclusively with a 5.6L V8 petrol engine. Despite its impressive power, it has unfortunately gained a reputation for excessive fuel consumption. A significant contributing factor to this issue is the overly restrictive factory exhaust system. Instead of utilising fibreglass packing, this system relies on a complicated arrangement of chambers, baffles, and valves to manage the exhaust noise.

Consequently, the engine's ability to breathe is compromised, negatively impacting fuel economy. Additionally, the resulting exhaust note is disappointingly weak and hardly befitting of a V8 engine.

The Manta exhaust system offers three distinct options to address these issues:

The "Full System" is an engine back solution, replacing the entire factory exhaust system with performance extractors, high flow cats, and our cat back system. This is an ideal choice if your factory cats have failed (a common problem in vehicles with over 100,000km on the clock), or if you're considering installing a supercharger.

The "Cat Back" system extends from the cats back, incorporating dual 2.5" mandrel bent pipework, transitioning into a single 3" pipe, with two straight-through glass packed mufflers to suppress noise.

The "Centre Muffler Delete" retains the front and rear sections of the factory exhaust, but still offers the advantage of larger pipework off the cats, and a straight-through centre muffler.

The result is a rich, satisfying exhaust note that is far from loud or intrusive within the cabin. For those seeking a more pronounced note, our "medium" noise level options include a hotdog resonator in the centre section, replacing the muffler. However, this may lead to an increase in interior noise. If you frequently tow or prefer a quieter cabin, we recommend our quiet option.

Our system has been specifically designed with a 2-piece rear section to accommodate vehicles fitted with a long-range tank.
